Alford Hub project ...
RSVP are working with Alford Hub on a new collaborative music based project to help community members express themselves through music. The project will create a new musical piece that reflects some of the character of the local community, is meaningful to the community and will feature community members on the track.
The project structure
- Song creation will begin with a Zoom meeting with core music groups to create the theme and a musical structure for the new song
- RSVP will create a common "backing track", so music groups can record their pieces remotely
- RSVP will consolidate all the music into a single track
- Other music contributors (e.g. schools, choirs, community groups) can record additional vocal pieces to augment the chorus of the song
- RSVP will complete the final track and make it available online via Facebook, Youtube etc
Support from Live & Local
The project was initiated and is facilitated by Live and Local. Live & Local supports a network of voluntary organisations who bring their communities together to enjoy high-quality, entertaining and affordable professional live theatre, storytelling, music, dance, family & children's shows and film screenings in their local village hall, church or schools.
